Kawasaki is one of the renowned automaker brands of the world. Exceptionally renowned for its bikes, Kawasaki has now expanded its innovation in electric vehicles. Recently the brand has introduced it’s two new models in the name of Elektrode lineup for 2025.
The Elektrode lineup for 2025 comprises two new models specially designed for young riders, offering them stepping up from balance bikes or those starting their riding journey later in life. Meet the Elektrode 20 and the Elektrode 20FS. Both e-bikes carry the Kawasaki legacy of performance with electric power.
Let’s dive into the details of both new exciting additions.
1. Elektrode 20: The Off-Road Adventurer
Kawasaki has built Elektrode20 for young thrill-seekers. It comes with 20-inch spoked wheels and a powerful 750-watt in-wheel brushless electric motor. It flows power to the rear wheel via a chinless and silent drive. The top speed of the e-bike is 24 mph that ensures plenty of fun, while the three selectable speed modes (starting at 13 mph) offer flexibility for different skill levels. The Elektrode 20 resembles a baby KX, that is also confirmed with the telescopic front fork suspension that offers 160mm travel for off-road capability.
Packed within the aluminum frame, a battery of 750-watt gives the rider up to three hours of running time that also depends on riding conditions. It also features an auto-sleep function to preserve battery after 10 minutes of inactivity, disk brakes for reliable stopping. Frame it also protects it from dust, dirt and the hard knocks. The bike is made to accommodate riders weighing up to 132 pounds and has an adjustable seat height going from 21.7 inches to 27.3 inches.
2.Elektrode 20FS: The BMX-Inspired Street Rider
Sharing the same platform that of the Elektrode 20, the Elektrode 20F S is for those who prefer a BMX-style ride, but want a more street style. It features BMX tires and a rigid steel front fork that make it different from the prior one. That gives the Elektrode 20F S a distinct street-ready look and feel.
The Elektrode 20F S will feature the same 75-watt brushless electric motor with top speed of 24 mph fit in the aluminum frame. But the main difference is that the Elektrode 20F S can accommodate rides up to 170-pound weight capacity and adjustable seat height for 23.4-inches to 30-inches.
Both models offer a blend of performance, style, and safety features, making them excellent choices for young riders looking to experience the thrill of electric biking. Whether off-road or on the streets, Kawasaki’s Elektrode 20 and 20F S promise an electrifying ride.
