In the race of electrification of transport industry, electric marine experts Vita and Evoy has just announced it’s plans to combine their businesses aiming to “ solidify their leadership in the high out marine segment.” Both companies have brought their vast experience in all-electric propulsion and powertrain technology, which promises a robust partnership that could accelerate the electrification of marine travel.

While the marine mobility segment is in its nuanced stage of electrification, the rapid growth of the segments is hoping for a promising future. Companies like Vita and Evoy are spearheading this movement with bringing a new level of sustainability to seaward travel. There are not too many OEMs going electric yet, but the advancement made by these two companies are paving the way for a greener future on the water.

As of now Vita is known for it’s advanced powertrains and collaborations , it is  a quite familiar name in marine technology. Recently the brand has collaborated with Maserati for the all-electric TRIDENTE day boat and has a partnership with marine fast-charging developer Aqua superPower.

On the other hand the brand name Evoy is new for many of you. But it is one of the leading high-performance inboard and outboard electric boat motor systems producing companies, which makes it a significant player in the electric marine market.

The recent integration of both companies also lineup in their way to make sustainable marine transportation. With it they are planning to scale more quickly with reduction of cost for consumers and expedite the adoption of electrified marine solutions in Europe and North America. According to the release,

”The combination of Vita’s experience integrating high-performance electric propulsion into a diverse portfolio of vessels from commercial RIBs to superyacht tenders with Evoy’s best-in-class, plug-and-play, powertrain technology and scalable production platform will allow the new group to leverage fourteen years of combined experience. Together, Vita and Evoy are positioned to deliver market-leading products — building on the shared belief that high-output systems with DC-charging capability present the most robust solutions for the widest range of marine applications.”

This might be the easy task for them as the newly formed marine technology group will get the benefit from a financing round led by existing Vita shareholders and Evoy investors. However it remains unclear whether the merger will result in a name change or if Vita and Evoy will continue to operate as separate entities under a single larger group.
