Like every year, fans of The North Americans Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle Award of the Year await the announcement of the Finalist. It is one of the most renowned annual awards for the automobile industry. The nine finalists of the awards have been announced, out of them five are all electric.
There are three categories each with three finalists that have been chosen from the 52 eligible vehicles. Among the nine finalists at least one Ev’s occupies the place in each segment with all three utility fields vehicles energies with the batteries and motors. The name of EV’s are Genesis Electrifies GV70, the Kia EV9, and the Volvo EX30.
Another key note here is that, all three finalists ( Honda Accord, Hyundai Ioniq 6, Toyota Prius/Prius Prime) in the car of the year segments are offered with a degree of electrification and use of hybrid models. This is another feather in the cap of the EV industry.
In the truck segment, Chevrolet Silverado EV is another game changer electric truck. The other top honors are the Chevrolet Colorado, a short compact known for its strength or the Ford F-Series Super Duty, an crosstown pickup truck.

The vehicles were selected by a jury of 50 Honorable automotive journalists based on the criteria including outstanding innovation, design, performance, driver satisfaction and value. Preliminary list consisted of 52 eligible vehicles that narrowed to 25 Best of 2024 at the Detroit Auto Show in September and then to the top nine vehicles.

Only one more round of votes is remaining to get the finalist between nine vehicles to get the one of the most honored awards of the automotive industry. The winners will be announced on January 4, at M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan.
