The electric bike maker Talaria has recently unveiled its latest electric bike model, the Talaria Dragon at EICMA 2023 Milan Motorcycle show. Which could expand beyond a mere recreational trail bike into full-fledged dirt bike
The bustling electric off-road motorcycle segment is daily updated with the new, high performance models that are changing the way of future off-road riding. In the race there is the newly introduced Escape X by Electric Motion, performance oriented Cake Kalk of Sur-ron. Now Talaria is yet another brand that is looking to take the crown in the electric dirt bike.
This powerful electric enduro Dragon has full-sized proportions and runs on a 21-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel combo. Also the Talaria Dragon boasts the peak power rating of 28 kW(37.5 hp) and a top speed near 70mph (11km/h). The brand also says that this new electric bike could set a new standard for lightweight off-road two-wheelers in terms of its high performance.
The Talaria Dragon is powered by a mid-drive electric motor. That offers nominal power output of 10 kilowatts (near 13.4 hp) that further boosts to 28 Kw in its peak. The electric bike is further featured with a fully adjustable Air+Spring fork up front with 250 millimetres of travel, hydraulic disc brakes, a 520-102 chain and a color TFT display.
The brand also provided a battery of an 88.8-volt with 58.5-amp-hour pack that promised a range of about 150 kilometers (94 miles) on a single charge. That provided you to maintain an average speed of 25 kilometers per hour (15.6 miles per hour). Talaria specifies a charging time of just four hours via the AC110/230V-50/60 Hz charger. Lastly, the bike has three ride modes for you to choose from consisting of Eco, Sport, and Hyper.
While there is no further information about the pricing and availability of the new Talaria Dragon. But Eric Hicks, the founder of Luna Cycle and a key Talaria dealer in the U.S., indicated that it would likely come late 2024 before the Talarai Dragon hits the North American Market.
