Tesla is increasing discounts on the Cybertruck as inventory continues to grow due to demand challenges. The electric pickup struggled with sales throughout 2024, its first full production year.
To boost sales, Tesla previously removed “Foundations Series” badges from some Cybertrucks to sell them at lower prices and even homologated US models for the Canadian market. However, inventory remains high in both Canada and the US, creating a unique situation.

The 2025 Cybertruck now qualifies for the $7,500 federal EV tax credit, but the 2024 model—still in stock—does not. To address this, Tesla is now offering discounts of up to $4,000 on standard 2024 Cybertrucks and $6,000 on the Foundations Series.
Tesla is believed to have thousands of Cybertrucks in inventory, and this latest price cut is double what it offered last month.
