Tesla is one of the leading Automakers of the U.S., but now if you are fond of Tesla’s model, Tesla is here to make your day. A recent announcement by Tesla that it is expanding its electric vehicle business to new offshore – Qatar.

Since the company already expanded its business in most of the important auto markets world wide, especially after the launching of the Model 3 and Model Y. But still there are few countries that still wait for Tesla to operate its business there.

This time Tesla chose Qatar as a new region to expand. If we take into consideration companies working in the whole Middle East, Tesla has limited operations there. The company only runs stores, service centers and Supercharger stations in Israel, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates. But the announcement of the expansion into Qatar is a further step by the company increasing its reach.

At present the county electric vehicle market is captured by the Renault Group, BMW AG, Hyundai, Nissan, Ford and other automakers. But the entry of Tesla will give new competition in the peninsula.

As Qatar is fairly a small country in size and population. Also, the report stated the people of Qatar only buy about 40,000 passenger vehicles per year. This shows how small the auto market is here. This is a great challenge for Tesla to sell a significant number of vehicles in such a small county. But providing some infrastructure, like a Supercharger and service center, in Doha can be a sustainable business option in the region.
