Range Rover has recently released the images of its upcoming all electric SUV, which the company says will arrive next year. The image disclosed that the Range Rover Electric will look like its gas-powered and plug-in-hybrid counterparts. Which is not surprising, because the company’s new generation models were designed to keep EV in mind.
The brand says that the first electric model will share the Modular Longitudinal Architecture (MLA Flex) platform. Further a high-voltage battery will be provided to keep the range of the model. Owners can also able to adventure off beaten path like the internal-combustion engines models.
Range Rover says that the electric SUV prototypes have gone through the rigorous tests that include driving in extremely hot and cold temperature and wading through 33.4 inches deep water, which is exactly two inches shallower than the gas-fed model can handle. Another feature is that The electric Range Rover is built up on a 800-volt architecture that’s designed to allow ultra-fast charging.
The brand doesn’t provide much technical details about the upcoming electric model. At present no one knows what will be the size of the battery or How much will be the estimated driving range. What do we know for the moment is that the Range Rover Electric’s batteries and electric motors will be built at the company’s factory situated in wolverhampton in the United Kingdom .Meanwhile the Vehicle itself will be built alongside the regular Range Rover at the Assembly plant in Solihull, United Kingdom.
While the Range Rover Electric SUV isn’t expected to arrive on the market until sometime next year, as a brand 2025 Model. But for the customers who can’t wait to get their hands on one can not get on the waiting list. That will put them in the front row of the line when pre-orders start.
