Recently, Hyundai has unveiled the large electric SUV at the LA Auto Show. It is Hyundai’s The IONIQ 9 three-row electric SUV called a “living room on wheels.”
Hyundai’s new IONIQ 9 showcases its cutting-edge “Aerosthetic” design, blending futuristic aesthetics with functionality. The sleek roofline and smooth, flush exterior create a spacious, lounge-like cabin. Unique touches, such as Parametric Pixels integrated into the front LED lights and bumper, add to its distinctive style.
The new IONIQ 9 will be available in S, SE, SEL, Limited, and a flagship Calligraphy trip option. Automakers has confirmed the top-tier model will have an exclusive Calligraphy Design package with 21-inches wheels.
There is also trip-specific features added to the Calligraphy model include a microfiber suede roof trim, a premium cargo sill plate, a two-tone leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 10-inches Head-Up Display (HUD), and a full-display mirror FDM with HomeLink.
Hyundai has been showcasing its flagship SUV, the IONIQ 9, in public, and a new video from KindelAuto captures a pre production all-black Calligraphy model being tested in the US. Earlier this month, an IONIQ 9 was spotted undergoing testing ahead of its upcoming deliveries, while an XRT trim with off-road enhancements was seen in Korea last week.
The Hyundai IONIQ 9 measures 199.2 inches in length, 78 inches in width, and 70.5 inches in height, making it slightly smaller than the Rivian R1S (201 inches long, 82 inches wide, and 77 inches tall) and comparable in size to Kia’s EV9.
Equipped with a 110.3 kWh battery pack, Hyundai’s three-row electric SUV boasts an EPA-estimated range of 335 miles or 620 km based on the WLTP cycle.
Set to debut in the US and Korea during the first half of 2025, the IONIQ 9 will expand to global markets like Europe shortly after. Production will take place at Hyundai’s new manufacturing plant in Georgia, alongside the refreshed 2025 IONIQ 5. Pricing details will be announced closer to the launch.
