Recent report by Hyundai Motor America showed, That company achieved its best- ever November sales. As the inimitable transition to electrification of transport rises the demand for Electric Vehicles. The company is ready to cater that demand with its world-class electric vehicles pandora.
In November Hyundai sales of 70,079 electric vehicles in the United States set a new record. As Hyundai sold 726,031 vehicles this year, that is 11% more than a year ago. Among total sales of the last month, Ioniq 5 (An all electric SUV) took the lead with 99% growth over last year. The company sold a total of 2,372 Ioniq 5 models last month.
Hyundai’s global president, Jose Munoz, stated ahead of the LA Auto Show last month the brand is still seeing strong demand for EVs in the US. Munoz said he is “still very bullish” on EVs, highlighting EV sales doubling year-over-year.
Fascinating is that Hyundai accomplished that achievement despite its EV not qualifying for the EV tax credit.
The other models that hit the market with their impressive performance are the Ioniq 6 that also sees a remarkable rise in the demand. The company sold nearly 1,386 models in November that is over 12% more sales from October. Hyundai’s Kona also achieved a 25% high in November.
Hyundai’s leader says the brand is “pulling ahead” as Hyundai continues seeing strong demand for its EVs.
Data from the reports shows that Hyundai and Kia claimed 7.5% of the U.S. market, that legging behind the from the giant Tesla (57.9%). But the consecutive growth of Hyundai surpasses the GM’s Chevy and Ford and is ready to give a tough competition to Tesla.
Hyundai is also planning to broaden its base in the U.S. For that the company has established its first EV and battery plant in the U.S. The construction process started from last last October, and as of now Hyundai says that 99.9% of the foundation world is completed.
