Stellantis has confirmed it’s fans that an all-electric Jeep Renegade is finally going to be launched soon. The news broke out on the 2024 Investor Day of the brand.
Jeep’s electric Renegade will be among three new EV’s launching in North America. The recent data show that the Jeep is one of the most patriotic brands in America.
In an interview to Automotive News, Antonic Filosa, CEO of the Jeep said, “something like 100% will be congested,” referring to it’s first global EV, the Wagoneer S. He also believes that the Jeep’s new electric vehicle will help the brand to turn things around.
In this row the Jeep is ready to launch its all-electric Renedege, at a price starting around $25,000 as part of its new growth plan. As this EV hits the market it will join the two all-electric jeep vehicles, the Wagoneer S and Wangler-inspired Recon.
The brand has plans to return to the midsize UV segment in North America while re-entering the small UV market globally.
A recent statement from the Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares, a $25,000 Jeep EV would launch in the US very soon just a week ago hints that it could be the electric Renegade.
Tavares explained,” If you ask me what an affordable BEV, I would say 20,000 euros in Europe and $25,000 in the US. IN the same way we brought the 20,000 Euro citroen e-C3, you will have a $25,000 Jeep very soon.”
Apart from pricing the brand has not revealed any other information regarding the specs and performance of the electric Renegade. However, it is also unclear, will it get the government incentives or not.
While the affordable electric Renegade joins the Wagoneer S and Recon in Jeep’s electric lineup. Meanwhile later this year, the Jeep is expected to reveal the Raccoon, a rugged EV inspired by the Wrangler.
