Genesis has update it’s Genesis Electrified G80 is ready for the changing dynamics of electrics vehicles market. This coming EV has been upgraded to the flagship level in its latest reboot. For that Genesis has introduces a new “Chauffer Mode” first time in an EV to added flagship-level luxury features like VIP rear seats.
Genesis has launched the update Electrified G80 in Korea with a roomier interior, more range and features, and a sleek new style. Now it unveiled the new luxury electric sedan for the first time at the Busan International Mobility Show (BIMOS) in June.
The new Electrified G80 features a fourth-gen battery of 94.5 kWh, which makes it able to gets up to 295 miles (475 km) range in Korea. There is also improved front and rear bush specs, an Electronically Controlled Suspension (ECS), and applied active rear-wheel steering (RWS).
Also the newly added Chauffer More optimized torque and suspension settings for a smooth and comfortable ride as a flagship model should feel. You can also choose Chauffer Mode for optimized braking.
For exterior the new Genesis will features a new bumpers and lamps along with the brands signature create grille on the front. The new grille features a gradient G-Matrix pattern and a bigger air intake, adding to its already bold design. Genesis also added its signature double-line headlamps with Micro Lens Array (MLA) tech.
To improve for the flagship level the G80’s wheelbase is also extended by 130 mm to 3,140mm which enables it to be best-in-class rear seat comfort with improved the aerodynamics. It also enable a 995 mm of legroom for the rear passengers that is 83 mm more than the previous model or 20 mm more headroom with 950 mm.
The interior also features with various new tech such as a new Active sound design (e-ASD). A 27-inches OLED infotainment and driver display that can be split into two or three screen. a new 17-speakers Bang and Olufsen sound system and Dolby ATMOS. Genesis claims it has involved into a “high-level luxury experience” with tech features.
Other luxury feature are fingerprint authentication system, a heated front seat console armrest, a passenger seat posture memory system, three-zone air conditioning, a one-button easy rear door system and an electric door curtain, which makes it a true flagship vehicle.
A Genesis official said the refreshed Electrified G80 is the “most Genesis-like electric vehicle and will provide value as a luxury sedan that does not compromise.” It is also expected that the new Genesis Electrified G80 arrived in Europe and North America following it’s launch even in Korea. In US it starts at price tag of $74,375 and has an EPA-estimated 282-mile range.
