Zoox made its first public rides in Foster City, California in February 2023. It was a historical movement when a purpose-built autonomous vehicle rode on the road without any manual controls. The robotaxi features a wireless charging, Personal rider screen to check arrival time, location and route-and set the music and air to exactly how you want them. Also there is no squeezing in behind the driver or no awkward middle seat that makes it spacious and comfortable.
Zoox is a super-spacious and perfectly symmetrical electric vehicle, where each rider gets the same level of comfort and technology-whenever they sit. Zoox says its expansion to the two latest cities will begin with internal public testing soon. However, it was unclear when Miami or Austin residents may see the bespoke autonomous vehicles cruising around the neighborhoods.
According to Zoox the testing is expected to begin in these two cities soon. The company also said that the residents should expect public robotaxi rides soon. Zoox’s Robotaxi is a fully autonomous all electric vehicle built for raiders not drivers.
