The introduction of the new All Electric SUV by the Automobile giant Cadillac creates a lot of buzz in the current automobile Market. It is the fourth electric car from the electric series of the company. Started with the LYRIQ.
With the vision to move into luxury, Cadillac’s announced its new electric vehicle model OPTIQ, that is known as the “entry point” for the automaker’s EV line up in the US. Starting with the cheapest LYRIQ, they made the Escalade IQ another luxury EV and the newest one the stunning Celestiq sedan.
Cadillac said that the “OPTIQ’s spirited driving dynamics are designed to appeal to global luxury customers.”
Fact is that Cadillac hasn’t provided any specification of the car, like battery range, dimensions, charging speed, powertrain options and more. What we do know is its colour information and some clues about the frontal design by the automaker’s expert.
As it is known that GM’s luxury brand was planning to release a cheaper electric SUV but it is also unconfirmed, that the OPTIQ is likely build on GM’s Ultium ELectric Platform.
As it is not clearly reveal in the LYRIQ’s picture about it’s size. But comparison of early one LYRIQ’s, It is predict that the size of the car will be between automaker’s XT5 and XT6 SUVs. Also the starting price of the newly added EV of Cadillac will be under LYRIQ’s $58,590.
The OPTIQ will be the smallest of the brand’s EVs and act as an entry point in the global market for the brand. Also it is likely to be sold in global markets, including North America, Europe and China after the expected sales starts in the early next year.
By opening up the new entry-level of EV, Cadillac will play a key role in the transition of the luxury brand’s. And aims to compete with the current leaders like Tesla.
