Porsche is testing its first all-electric sports car, the Porsche Cayenne EV. Yes you are reading right. This EV is expected to join the brand luxury automaker’s lineup and place at the fourth position.
Recently the Porsche Cayenne EV has been spotted while testing this week. The glimpse from the video reveals that the new Porsche Cayenne EV looks identically the same to the new Macan EV. It will also be built on the same platform that has been used for the Macan EV and Audi Q6 e-tron.
The Macan EV is the second electric vehicle introduced by the brand, in January. Based on the new PPE platform it boasts up to 630 hp (Turbo) and 381 miles (613 km) WLTP range. Although Porsche has not announced the specs of the coming Cayenne EV, it is expected to be the same as the Macan EV. That means it will offer up to 630 hp turbo and 833 lb-ft of torque. Also a 0 to 60 mph acceleration in 3.3 seconds.

Despite camouflage you can see some features like active cooling air flaps like the luxury SUV.
This is a luxury SUV, but according to Oliver Blume, CEO,” Porsche is also expanding ‘upward’ with an ultra-luxury electric SUV to place above the Cayenne. Also Porsche is aiming for 80% of it’s vehicle delivery to be electric by 2030.
