Genesis introduced the Electrifies GV70 back in November 2021. This was the Genesis third all-electric model following the Electrifies G80 and GV60 in 2021. This upgraded electric SUV was spotted with an upgrade feature in South Korea for the first time.
The GV70 is an impressively deluxe, chic design and a full roster of convenience and technology features. Builds on its predecessor’s performance and premier interior.
The new Genesis Electrifies GV70 starts at $66,450 in the US. It is powered by a dual motor system that generates 429 horsepower with the torque of 516 lb-ft. The company said that it will provide up to 236 miles range.
“The Electrified GV70 features an athletic, low-profile wheelbase, a powerful all electric Dual Motor AWD system and a generous interior cabin that packs with driver-centric appointments.” says Genesis.
Report said that the electric SUV is already in the process of being updated. The first updated Genesis Electrified GV7 was spotted by the HealerTV in a parking lot.
Yet it’s hard to see any detectable difference rather than new headlights, wheels and a redesigned bumper. Also the other information about the powertrain is still unknown. But it is expected that the improvement in design and power will likely boost the EV’s range over the current 236 miles.
Reports say that the Genesis will introduce its upgraded model in late 2024. Even there are many ifs and buts. Currently Genesis’s GV6, Electrifies GV70 and Electrifies G80 are available in more than half the states of the US. Genesis also committed to make its new model an all-electric from 2025 in the aim to create an all-electric lineup by 2030.
