Ford launched the Puma Gen-E-EV with a new look, an energy-efficient electric powertrain, and more interior space on Tuesday. At the event Jon Williams, GM of Ford Model e and Blue in Europe said, “Puma Gen-E is our best ever Puma and calls the new Puma EV “the most fun-to-drive experience yet.”
The new eclectic Puma features a similar look with a sleek new facelift and shield design that is replacing the traditional grille.
Ford said the “fresh face” is inspired by the Mustang Mach-E. The electric Puma also gains a rear spoiler and new wheels, adding to “the electric vibe.” Automaker also claims the new design helps the new EV “slice through the air more efficiency for even better performance.”
Ford Puma Gen-E Specs and Range
The electric Ford Puma Gen-E delivers an impressive WLTP range of up to 234 miles (376 km) and boasts an efficient rating of 13.1 kWh/100 km. For city driving, its range extends to a remarkable 325 miles (523 km), making it a perfect choice for daily commutes. With 100 kW fast charging capability, the Puma EV recharges from 10% to 80% in just 23 minutes, ensuring you’re quickly back on the road.
The interior of the EV features a 12.8-inches driver display and 12-inches infotainment screens with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. It also retains many physical buttons, including for climate control, found in the gas-powered model.
Other advanced features include Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control and Dynamic Matrix LED headlights with Predictive Dynamic Bending Light.
Ford will produce the electric Puma Gen-E alongside its gas-powered counterpart at the Craiova, Romania plant. Starting today, December 3, 2024, the Puma Gen-E is available for order, with deliveries set to begin in spring 2025.

The electric Ford Puma is priced starting at approximately $38,800 (€36,900) in Europe, with a promotional price closer to $38,000 (€36,162). The Premium trim, featuring 18″ alloy wheels and matrix LED headlights, starts at $41,500 (€39,400). In the UK, the starting price for the all-electric Puma is around $38,000 (£29,995), with the Premium trim priced at $40,500 (£31,995).
