Ford’s Puma is ready to hit the market as the EV is expected to arrive by the end of this year. The new Ford Puma “Gen-E” will come under the Mustang Mach-E, Explorer Electric, and new Capri EV in Ford’s growing EU electric vehicle lineup. The new EV will be the electric version of the brand high-selling Car.
Introduced earlier this year, the coming of the Ford EV model is expected to include new badging and headlights, along with a closed grille and redesigned front bumper to improve efficiency and range. It is also equipped with a high-tech interior that includes a 12.8-inches digital display and 12-inch infotainment screens.
It features SYNC 4 connectivity and infotainment system, which has twice the computing power of the previous system, also supported voice recognition and Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto support for easy integration.
One of the differences between the Explorer and Capri EVs from the electric Puma is that the prior are built on Volksewagen’s MEB platform, but it will be based on the same platform as the gas-powered model.
For power and performance it provided the same as the Ford Transit Courier and electric E-Transit Courier. Ford converted the E-Transit Courier with a single 134 hp (100 kW) electric motor. Also a 215 hp unit used for Ford’s E-Transit Custom of the Dual (181 hp + 265 hp) electric power motors is used for the larger E-Transit.
The new Ford’s Puma EV will also be expected to include similar powertrain options, with an expected 50 to 60 kWh battery that will boast nearly 250 miles of range. The new Ford’s EV will follow last week’s revealed Capri EV.
