Canoo Pickup Truck (Expected: 2024)
Canoo, is a California-based electric automotive startup that gained its name after introducing an all Electric Pickup Truck. As the company is naïve in the electrifying mobility market, so it goes by the straightforward name Pickup Truck to its latest creation. The pickup Truck will come with either a rear-wheel or all wheel-drive configuration. Known as more compact than the typical mid-size pickups, it measures two feet shorter than the Ford Ranger. Canoo claims that the new pickup promises more than 500 horsepower and a minimum range of 200 miles. The pickup truck will come with a 4 feet wide and 6 feet long bed with the extensibility of 8 feet. A modified version of the pickup truck is also tested by the U.S. army. The company said that production is slated to commence around 2024, with an expected price of around $35,000.
Canoo Lifestyle Vehicle (Expected: 2023)
Canoo’s pickup has a sibling, a five- or seven-seater electric vehicle (EV) crafted on a skateboard platform including minivan, cargo van and pickup truck, much like the approach adopted by BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen. This design allows for seamless interchangeability of body styles on similar foundations. Canoo asserts that this compact bus is set to cover 200 miles on a single charge and boasts up to 350 horsepower, all while maintaining an enticing starting price below $40,000. That further increased with the available three trim versions. It also features a drive-by wire system, double wishbone suspension and traction motor. Walmart even pre-ordered 4500 of the delivery van version, and NASA is eyeing it for transport during the Artemis moon missions. Despite recent financial challenges, Canoo aims to commence production within this year.
