It might be disheartening for some to hear that Tesla has recalled over 10,000 Tesla’s Cyebrtrucks. The move comes after the brand has found that the Cyertrucks has been detected with two new issues. These are that trim in the bed that can detect while driving and a defective windshield wiper.
Tesla has also describe the problem with the Cybertruck’s trim around the bed of the Cyberturck that led to the first recall:
The Cyberturkc is equipped with a cosmetic applique along the exterior of the trunk bed trim, known as the sail applique, which is affixed to the vehicle with adhesive. On affected vehicles, the sail applique or adhesion may not have been installed according to specification, which may cause the sail applique to become loose or separate from the vehicle.
The move by Tesla further confirmed the reports that have been already spread over the news stating the part detailing from the Cybertruck bed.
The automaker also says that it will “replace or rework “ the part on customer vehicles:
At no charge to the customer, Tesla will replace or rework the sail applique such that the assembly meets specifications and ensures sufficient adhesion between the applique and the vehicle’s deck rail.
The issue affects the large fleet of the Cybertruck that has been in the market since build from May 26,2024 and counts to be exactly 11,383 in number. Tesla also simultaneously revealed another recall for the Cybertruck.
The another recall is come after when Tesla has confirmed a problem with the Cyberturck’s windshield wiper motor:
On affected vehicles, the front windshield wiper motor controller may stop functioning due to electrical overstress to the gate driver component.
Tesla has confirmed that all Cybertrucks produced since June 6, 2024 – 11,688 in number have the issue. Tesla also said It is worked with the “Tier 1 (Valeo) and Tier 2 (USI) suppliers” to identify the issue.
After detecting the issues with Cybertrucks Tesla is also committed to replace the windshield wiper motor on the Cybertrucks.
