Kia EV9 (Expected: Late 2023)
Kia is broadening its range of electric vehicles, especially with this three-row mid-size SUV that’s joining the Telluride squad. The EV9 comes in rear-or all-wheel drive with the latter featuring a 379-hp dual-motor powertrain. The base model packs a punch with a 215-hp rear-mounted motor and a 76.1-kWh battery. It can hit 62 mph in a cool 8.2 seconds. But the Long Range model is a bit slower at 9.4 seconds, The Long Range model, boasting 201 horsepower, takes a more leisurely 9.4 seconds, but its larger 99.8-kilowatt-hour battery provides an estimated range of around 300 miles.
For those seeking a sportier option, the all-wheel-drive GT-Line version delivers a robust 379 horsepower and accelerates to 62 mph in just 5.3 seconds. Also its 800-volt architecture ensures the fast charging from 10 to 80 percent in less than 25 minutes using a DC fast-charger.
Also the other desirable standard features such as second-row captain’s chairs, a heat pump for the climate-control system, heated front seats and steering wheel and a host of driver-assistance are there. The Kia EV9 is expected to start at $56,395 and goes up to $75,395 depending on the trim and options.
