Ahead of the official debut of it’s upcoming EV, Hyundai is teasing it’s fans with the first images of it’s new INSTER EV. The coming EV will debut at the Bhusan International Mobility Show. It will join the line of affordable EVs when they hit the market.
On Tuesday Hyundai has showed the First images of it’s all new EV concept “A-segment sub-compact EV- the INSTER EV.” It is an evolution of the gas-powered CASPER model sold in Korea.
The first glimpses of the EV resemble the CASPER, but with a modern upgrade. Hyundai also claims the new electric car will “set a new standard” in driving range, tech and safety.
It features the Hyundai’s signature daytime running lights with added pixel graphic turn signals and tail lights. For range it is expected to go up to 220 miles (355 km) estimated WLTP range.
However Hyundai has nothing to say about the prices, but we can make an anticipation with the gas-powered CASER. The gas-powered CASPER is selling for under $15,000 in Korea. But the brand commitment to make the EV market affordable so the new EV also hit the market with an affordable price tag.
Hyundai’s first EV and battery plant in the US is expected to start working this year to accelerate the working of the brand. Kia’s EV is ready to the market this year, Hyundai may also consider launching the low-cost electric car that will rival it. The prices of Kia’s EV3 is expected to start around $30,000 and $35,000.
In the line up of affordable EV Volkswagen is also ready with affordable ID.2 an all electric car. VW has just finished the design work of the EV, which is expected to debut later this year with the price’s fix around $27,000.
