Automaker has launched the midsize luxury electric SUV in Korea March, 2022. It has been only three years since the brand is updating the GV70 “EV with a more elegant and luxurious look”.

Lets Look into Updated Genesis Electrified GV70

Similar to the recently updated GV60, the new Electrified GV70 features a revamped front and rear design. The crest grille now showcases a Gradient G-Matrix pattern, enhancing its sporty appeal. Additionally, Genesis has incorporated its advanced Micro Lens Array (MLA) technology into the signature Two Tone headlights for a more modern touch.

The refreshed GV70 also debuts new 20″ matte dark gray wheels, complementing its bold stance. The updated 19″ wheels further contribute to the vehicle’s “strong yet sophisticated” aesthetic.

The new Genesis Electrified GV70 is now powered by its fourth-gen batteries that offer more driving range. Currently it features a 77.4 kWh battery that offers up to 400 km (249 miles). However the updated 84 kWh battery pack added this up to 423 km (263 miles) range. With fast charging capacity, with a 350 kW fast charger that can charge up to 80% in just 19 minutes.

To offer a smooth driving experience the automakes added a new Highway Body Motion Control tech to minimize the jerk when suddenly braking or accelerating. The rear suspension also features a new hydro bushing, which was previously only on the front suspension, to reduce vibration.

The updated Genesis Electrified GV70 now features a Virtual Gear Shift, a technology shared with other Hyundai Motor Group EVs, designed to mimic the sensation of shifting gears in a gas-powered vehicle.

In Korea, the new Electrified GV70 starts at 75.2 million won (approximately $51,700), with EV tax benefits factored in. Meanwhile, in the US, the 2025 Electrified GV70 is priced from $66,950 and offers a range of up to 236 miles. Although pricing for the 2026 model is not expected to change significantly, it is anticipated to deliver an improved driving range of over 250 miles.

Unveiled at the LA Auto Show in November, the updated Electrified GV70 for the US market now includes a Tesla NACS port, granting access to Tesla Superchargers. The 2026 model is set to arrive at US dealerships in the first half of 2025.

As the updated models approach, Genesis is offering up to $16,750 in lease bonuses on the 2025 Electrified GV70. Interested in saving on your next luxury EV? Click here to explore deals on the Genesis GV70 in your area today.
