Ford has updates it’s Mustang Mach-E GT with more powerful and performance oriented features unable to accelerate 0 to 60 mph in less time than the Tesla Model Y Performance and Porsche Macan 4 Electric.
GM of integrated services at Ford, Chet Dhruna explained, “ The freedom to move and customise the vehicle to make it your own is an important part of the ownership experience.” He also added that now EV has a 0 to 60 mph time faster than top Tesla and Porsche models.
The new update into the EV combines innovative powertrain thermal modeling and control system. It combined with it’s new in-house e-Motor, which is able to deliver an additional 100 lb-ft of torque.
The new 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT now gets up to 700 lb-ft of torque and 480hp. And the provided acceleration of 0 to 60 mph is also just in 3.3 seconds, which is an improvement from 3.8 seconds. Whereas the rival Tesla Model Y Performance can hit 0 to 60 mph in just a 3.5 seconds, or Porsche’s Macan 4 EV in just 4.9 secs.
To make it power oriented the 2024 Mach-E GT is powered by a 91-kWh Extended- Range battery pack, which offers up to 280 miles of EPA-estimated range. Further it features a MangeRide Damping System on the front and rear suspension.
On the other hand Rally trim of the EV features a “Rallycross-tuned” suspension ” and boasts up to 265 miles. The pricing of the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach E-GT and Rally Models starts respectively at $54,995 and $ 58,995
