Once more the Hyundai IONIQ 9 SUV was spotted before its debut. This time it has been spotted while parked in Korea, and giving us a closer look of the electric car. The three-row electric SUV is scheduled to debut next month. Hyundai will officially unveil its first three-row electric SUV, the IONIQ 9 at the 2024 LA Auto Show.
Hyundai first showed its Hyundai IONIQ 9 SUV three years ago at the 2021 LA Auto Show. However, initially it was called the SEVEN concept, but later the automaker has confirmed that the larger Electric SUV will go by the IONIQ 9. Earlier also we got the closest look of the electric SUV after new photos revealed the IONIQ 9 with less camo.
However, the latest images from ShortsCar give us a better look of the upcoming model. You find, the Hyundai IONIQ 9 SUV was spotted while parked on a street in Korea, revealing the SUV’s size and spacious interior.
Side view highlights,, the IONIQ9 is much bigger than Hyundai’s current IONIQ5. Since it will be based on the same E-GMP platform, the IONIQ9 is expected to be around the size of Kia’s EV9, at 197.2-inches long, 77.9-inches wide and 70.1-inches tall. There is also a wheelbase of 122-inches.
Other images showing the interior of the EV reveal that there is plenty of legroom in the second row. If it’s any indication, Kia’s EV9 has over 42-inches of rear legroom, which is more than a Cadillac Escalate and Range Rover P40. The headroom space of the EV is also more than the Tesla Model X.
About pricing so it is expected that Hyundai’s larger SUV is expected to start at around $55,000. It is either the same or slightly more than the EV 9. Or the more expensive trims could cost upwards of $75,000 to $80,000.
