Tesla teased its customer last year with the introduction of a new version of the Model 3, codenamed as Highland. After a successful drive in the market across Europe, the Middle East, and China the brand just modified specifically for North America.
This upcoming electric model features a refreshed design, a new backseat screen, new ambient light, and more. The new refresh model is now the only one listed for ordering in Tesla’s configurator. In other markets buyers will have only two versions available instead of three: a Longe range AWD model with dual motors or the cheaper Rear-Wheel Drive version. For now the former top-of-the Performance model is no longer available.
Tesla hadn’t said once when it planned to bring the new version for the North American markets, but kept going with its older design. But now Tesla is revealing its Model 3 referring to it as the “upgraded Model 3” and it is starting to take orders for deliveries in upcoming months.
Tesla Model 3 shows an EPA estimated range of up to 341 miles, up from its predecessor’s 333 miles, on the other hand the rear wheel is still listed at 272 miles. Where the price of the model remained the same but interestingly, the top speed has been reduced from 140 mph to 125 mph.
