A day after sharing plans for three new BEV launches in 2025, ZEEKR has shared a look at one of them. The Chinese automaker has developed a shooting brake version of its 007 sedan, the ZEEKR 007 GT, which you can see for the first time below.
Recently ZEEKR kicked off CES 2025 with the news of a new domain controller built using NVIDIA’s DRIVE Thor next-generation centralized computer. NVIDIA introduced DRIVE Thor in the fall of 2022, naming ZEEKR as its first customer. The first vehicles equipped with this advanced technology are scheduled to begin production in early 2025.
ZEEKR said its domain controller will soon be mass-produced and integrated into a new large SUV model to be launched this year. It will be one of three new BEVs the automaker plans to launch in 2025. According to ZEEKR CEO Andy AN, those vehicles have been internally code named “EX,” “DX,” and “CC.”
However ZEEKR has not confirmed any of those codenames match that of the newest model it unveiled today, we do have confirmation that a new shooting brake version of the 007, called the 007 GT, is on the horizon.
ZEEKR teases the 007 GT with the spirit of a “Grand Tour.”
ZEEKR has shared the three images of its EV in recent Weibo post with the following caption:
007 GT Zeekr’s second shooting brake is here
GT, Grand Tour, a great journey is about to begin, see you tomorrow.
The automaker has confirmed that the GT plate stands for “Grand Tour.” The 007 shooting brake, based on the images, seems to be a sportier iteration of the stylish 007 sedan, which debuted in China just over a year ago. Joining the ZEEKR lineup as the second shooting brake, the 007 GT will sit alongside the 001. Notably, the 001 introduced a high-performance quad-motor variant called the 001 FR, with deliveries starting in the fall of 2023.
Details about the ZEEKR 007 GT’s specifications and how they compare to its sedan counterpart remain under wraps, though it’s anticipated that this new variant will offer performance upgrades geared for track enthusiasts. According to CnEVPost, the shooting brake will have a global presence and will be marketed as the ZEEKR 7 GT outside of China.
During a recent Q4 financial call, ZEEKR CEO and Geely President Andy An revealed plans to launch the 007 GT shooting brake in Q2 2025.
Intriguingly, a recent Weibo post from ZEEKR stated, “See you tomorrow.” It’s unclear whether this phrase signals a metaphorical nod to ZEEKR’s future or hints at imminent details about the 007 GT. With CES ongoing, there’s a possibility that ZEEKR may reveal more soon. Stay tuned for updates!
