ZEEKR has officially unveiled some images of its 7X SUV along with some specs including its battery chemistry and acceleration times.
According to ZEEKR the “7” represent its market positioning in the luxury BEV segment and is a nod to being built atop Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA), And the “X” represent the automaker’s growing line of SUV models and “symbolizes the ZEEKR spirit of breaking conventions.”
The glimpse of the EV showcases that the overall design of it appears to be more of a return to conventions in the SUV space. ZEEKR has kept the original design, despite many other OEM’s producing all-electric SUVs opting the crossover coupe style. On this ZEEKR says it enacted three essential pillars in the 7X – safety, comfort, and freedom for not only drivers but their families through all of life’s driving scenarios.
According to ZEEKR, “As ZEEKR’s fifth model, the luxury large five-seater ZEEKR 7X debuts with original design, expansive space, top-tier safety, and powerful performance. ZEEKR 7X aims to redefine mainstream SUV standards and create a new luxury pure electric travel experience.”
Built in the framework of 4,825 mm long, 1,930 mm width and 1,656 mm height, the 7X features a 4WD dual-motor along with the available 475 kW (165 kW and 310 kW motors) for maximum power.
Also come with 800V SAE Platform, all the variants of the EV are capable of ultra-fast charging, also an alternative LEP with lithium ternary batteries are also there with optional Chassis air suspension.
However ZEEKR has not said anything about range, pricing and availability of its upcoming EV. But it is expected that it will come soon, as the Chinese automaker did share that the new SUV’s “future market performance is highly anticipated.” With it’s 7X EV model, ZEEKR has aiming to capture a significant position in the global BEV market.
