Here is great news for Kia fans as the new affordable Kia EV6 GT is getting an upgrade. Along with a design makeover, New EV6 GT will also be equipped with some features of the Hyundai IONIQ 5.
Kia has introduced the EV6 GT in 2022 as one of the most powerful EV of the brand, powered with Dual Motor e-AWD system. It also boasts up to 576 hp and 545 lb-ft of torque, and offers an impressive acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4seconds.
Also it is tagged as one of the cheapest all-electric sports cars as the starting price of Kia EV6 GT starts at $61,600. That is half of the cost of the other famous electric sports EV including Ferrari and Lamborghini.
Kia has recently disclosed the updated EV6 in Korea, this is based on Kia’s first dedicated EV based on Hyundai’s E-GMP platform, which is the same as used for the IONIQ 5 and 6 models. The new model also features an updated design, more range, and faster charging.
Kia says the EV6 has “returned in a more perfect form.” One of the key updates is Kia’s new “Star Map” lightning, revealed on other new models like the EV9. Also inside it features Kia’s ccNC Infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, with expandable OTA capabilities and gains streaming abilities.
Other reports also suggest, the new Kia EV6 GT will also get some similar features like the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N, that includes a virtual transmission system, or e-shift, to add the sounds and feel of shifting gears.
It is also interesting that the updated EV6 price will remain unchanged, The refreshed EV6 GT starts at $40,500 (KRW 55.4 million) in Korea, while the GT version will tag with prices at $46,200 (KRW 63.15 million). But for pricing of the new EV6 GT we will wait for the official announcement that could come closer to the launch date
