Renault is a globally recognized name in passenger vehicles. This time automaker showcase a two-wheeler — the Heritage Spirit Scrambler that shocked visitors at the Paris Motor Show.. The bike has been designed by Ateliers Heritage Bike, a startup based in Annecy. This production-spec electric scrambler aims to boost local startup innovation in France. It is expected that the bike is set to hit European roads soon, at the priced at €23,450 (approximately ₹21.2 Lakh).
The Heritage Spirit Scrambler combines a neo-retro design inspired by the 1980s with modern, futuristic elements. With a retro-shaped fuel tank, it also features modern livery and graphics.
Other notable styling features includes a single-piece ribbed saddle, an ovular LED lighting, 17-inches wire-spoke wheels, a rectangular LED brake lamp and knobby tyres. Notably, it runs on a battery rather than a petrol engine, integrating the battery as a stress member for the frame.
The Heritage Spirit Scramble is available in two variants: a 50cc equivalent and a 125cc equivalent. The 50cc model, priced at €23,450, can reach a top speed of 45 km/h and is eligible for an AM license in Europe for riders aged 16 and above. The 125cc variant, priced at €24,950 (₹22.74 lakh), has a top speed of 99 km/h and requires an A1 or B196 driving license.
The base model features a 4kW motor with 240 Nm of torque and a 3.2 kWh battery offering an 80 km range. The 125cc version boasts a 7kW motor with 280 Nm of torque and a 4.8 kWh battery, providing a 100 km range per charge.
