Rattan Unveils the Pinus: A New Small-Format Folding E-Bike for 2024

Rattan is a well-known entry-level e-bike manufacturer. This time also It has also introduced it’s new all electric bicycle models for the 2024 riding seasons. Meet the Pinus, a company 2-inchs folding e-bike that is drawing significant attention for it’s impressive features and quirky name. Rattan’s choice of the name “Pinus” might raise a few eyebrows, but it’s all all part of the charm.

Rattan is a renowned Chinese e-bike manufacturer often know for it’s quine name selection g that stand out in the crowed market. In this row Pinus is not an exceptions. Despite its unusual moniker, the Pinus promises to deliver a top-notch riding experience

The Pinus has features a step-through frame with thick 4″ tires which makes the e-bike accessible and more comfortable for all rides. Weighing in at 83lb (37.6 kg), the Pinus is a heavier e-bike form the rest in its class. Rattan claims the Pinus can support up to 400 lb (181 kg), accommodating a wide range of raiders.

The e-bicycle is equipped with a 48V 20AH battery, offers a substantial 960kW of capacity . It is far exceeding the typical 600-700 kWh range that is found in other similar models. For those wo looking for more power a dual battery option is available. It doubles the capacity to 1,920 Wh with the extending range to an ambitious 150 miles (241 km).

It equipped with the 750W rear hub motor provides 1,200W of peak performance that allows Pinus to reach a top speed of 28 mph (45km/h). It also features a torque sensor instead of a less responsive cadence sensor It offers quick response to rider’s pedaling efforts and delivers a smooth and dynamic experience. It has a Hydraulic disc brakes system that provides reliable stopping power that ensures riders safety at higher speeds. 

Apart from that the e-bike also included impressive features including a rear rack, LED lighting with turn signals, an 8-speed transmission, a color LCD display, and USB charging ports on the handlebars.

Rattan has launched the Pinus with the price tag of $1,699. There are two available color options- Lava Red and Sky Blue. Competitive pricing and premium features position the Pinus as an attractive choice for the buyer’s of the entry-level e-bike market.
