There is great news for the EV buyers, as the brand confirmed the GV60 Magma EV is set to launch next year with performance and design upgrades. It will be the Genesis’s first EV upgraded to sporty “Magma.”
Genesis has introduced it’s GV60 Magma concept in March at Genesis House New York as “the brand’s expansion into the realm of high-performance vehicles.” With the launching of its high performance EV, Genesis aims for its Magma models to be “a high-end variant.”
It will come with improved battery and motor with fine-tuned chassis, profile and thermodynamics for added dynamics. The size of the EV is also wider and lower than the existing model, enabling a lower center of gravity for a sportier feel.
The upgraded Megma models will feature a new human-machine interface (HMI), fundamentally focused on three attributes:- “Unspoken Dominance,” “Captivating Control,” and “Sharpened Immersion.” Genesis also claims that by showing only essential data and functions, drivers can be fully immersed while driving.
As Genesis is working for a long time on the EV, has now confirmed the GV60 Magma will launch as an EV model next year in Korea, followed by Europe. According to Genesis the EV will resemble the concept mode, which aims to begin production in Q3 2025.
The global debut of the sporty GV60 will be at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed on Thursday, where it will be shown in action for the first time. Genesis is also planning to show the performance of it’s GV60 Megma Concept in Shootout sunday. It will give you a glimpse. How is EV’s speed and agility?
At this event the brand is also planning to showcase its other vehicles, including another global debut of its other concept GV80 EV Magma, which has been unveiled in April as the new Tesla Model S Plaid competitor.
The Goodwood event that will be held on Thursday, will be the hub of several new electric sports cars including the MG Cyber GTS.
