Information coming out from Lucid that the brand’s first pre-production luxury electric SUV- Gravity is now rolling off the assembly line at its Casa Grande, Arizona factory. This is a historical step of Lucid towards its journey in the race of electrification. The coming electric SUV will be the second EV joining the Lucid electric lineup, following Air Sedan.

Lucid had launched the Gravity in November last year as the brand’s full-size electric SUV featuring the luxurious interior with impressive range over 440 miles. It is a three row electric SUV which offers ample space for seven adults with their luggages.
Recently a video showcasing the first pre-production Gravity coming off the production in Arizona has been shared by the Lucid CEO Peter Rawlinson. He said, “Not all EVs are born equal,” as the Gravity reaches one step near to its first buyer.

Rawlinson said the “Gravity SUV represents a significant leap forward for Lucid’s world-leading technology and design.” Despite its long-range capabilities, the Gravity’s battery pack is “a little more than half the size of some of our battery-hungry competitors.”
The Gravity will come with Lucid’s futuristic tech, which is an updated version of what we have seen in its award winning Air sedan. Automaker also plans to start building the customer models from later this year ahead of deliveries.

For pricing the Gravity is expected to start around $80,000. Which means it will be the direct rival to the Rivian’s R1S and the Tesla Model X.
However Lucid also has plan to seize the place in growing electric car market with a new mid size electric SUV that is expected to launch in late 2026 to compete with well established Tesla’s Model Y
