After starting its electric lineup in early 2023, Lexus is now ready to introduce its all-new option – The RZ 300e along with the already known RZ 450e with updated version.
The Lexus RZ 300e model is an entry-level version featuring an electric motor and a 72.8kWh Lithium-ion battery from Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. LImited (CATL) primarily offered only with FWD. The RZ 300e model has an EPA-estimated range of up to 266 miles(18” wheels) and 224 miles (24” wheels). Further the new model features 201 horsepower.
The upcoming RZ 300e model is based on the same e-TNGA platform. Further the brand has replaced its signature spindle grille with a new spindle body for adding to its aerodynamics. Lexus said the grille uses a shuttle to improve efficiency that is closed down to reduce air resistance when cooling is not needed.
Lexus also gives a very impressive interior to its RZ 300e. The driver-focused interior is inspired by the “communicative relationship between horse and rider.” Is based on the minimalist concept of Tazuna. Along that a 14” touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Compatibility, head-up display and a good cargo space.
Also Every RZ model regardless of which drivetrain configuration it uses comes standard with a dual-voltage charging cable compatible with 120- and 240- volt outlets. The pricing for the 2024 RZ range is estimated at approx $56300 for an 18” wheel that will further increase $57,540 for a 20” wheel and $62,030 for a Luxury one. Including a $1,150 destination charge.
The production of the new Lexus RZ is already underway at the motomachi Plant in Toyota City, Japan and will hit the road in late 2024.
