Jeep announced that the Jeep Wagoneer S will launch this fall with a $7,500 lease discount. It is Jeep’s first fully electric vehicle in the U.S. that will debut with a $7,500 discount as the rugged SUV brand looks to compete with Tesla. Discounted price of the EV makes it more competitive with Tesla’s top-selling Model Y.

Let’s Meet The First Jeep Wagoneer S Global EV

Jeep introduced the Wagoneer S, its first global electric SUV last month. The coming EV will produce an impressive 600 hp and 617 lb-ft of torque and will reach 0-60 mp in just 3.4 seconds. For the range conscious, the EV will expect to reach over 300 miles of range. Also to make it a powerful EV the brand has provided a 400V, 100kWh battery that can charge from 20% to 80% in 23 minutes DC fast charging only.

According to Jeep’s CEO Antonio Filosa, “Jeep Wagoneer S is distinctively a jeep and 100% electric in every way. Built on the STLA Platform with some modified features like length, width, suspension and powertrain the Wagoneer S is literally a great EV in the series. Also designed by Stellantis, electric drive modules provide instant torque independently of the front and rear wheels.

The interior of the Jeep also shows the eye-catching pack of new tech, innovation and luxury. A wine red-stitched steering wheel with a flat-bottom design will give you the thrive of sporty interior. Also a wide screen with more than 45-inch usable space that also includes an 10.25-inch interactive screen exclusively made for front passengers. Display also shows the charge level, battery health and available power.

Jeep Challenges Tesla with Its Wagoneer S Electric SUV

Jeep is making a bold mode in the electric vehicle (EV) market with the aim to capture some of the spotlight from Tesla’s best-selling Model Y with it’s first electric SUV- the Wagoneer S in the U.S.

Earlier this month, Jeep’s leader, Filosa, expressed confidence in the brand’s ability to compete in the EV market. He told Automotive News, “Something like 100% will be conquested,” referring to the potential buyers of Jeep’s Wagoneer S and Recon EVs. He further emphasized that the primary target for these new models is Tesla, among other brands.

According to online auto research firm CarsDirect, the Jeep Wagoneer S will debut with a substantial $7,500 lease discount. Although Jeep has yet to officially announce the specific lease deals for the new EV, they are expected to be unveiled soon. Dealers across 12 states were informed of the new offer through Stellantis Financial Services last week.

Also the Jeep’s Wagoneer S Launch Edition will begin arriving at US dealership this fall, starting at $71,995.
