Finally a long awaited all-electric Jeep Compass is ready to hit the market soon. Jeep plans to unveil the electric Compass before the end of the year ahead of a 2025 in Europe. The coming SUV will followed the 2023’s Jeep Avenger.
As the new Jeep EV is under development, Jeep’s UK managing director, Kris Chlmondeley, suggested the new Compass will be revealed in November while speaking to Auto Express.
The new compass EV will be come in various variant such as PHEV, hybrid, and all-electric. It will align with Jeep’s “Freedom of Choice” strategy. Also Cholmondeley said he’s “even more excited” about the upcoming Compass although the Wagoneer S is brand’s first global EV.
The Compass EV is build on the STLA Medium platform, means it will offers an impressive performance and driving range. Released in 2023 the platform offers a climbed 435 miles (700 km) WLTP driving range and the standard version boast up to 310 miles (500 km) WLTP range.
The coming EV is also expected to launch with a “Trailhawk” trim or more rugged model to With the Compass brand is expected to the front line model in the rival of Jeep’s in European market into the most popular car segments.
But Jeep has yet to announces it’s plans to introduced Compass EV in US, meanwhile it is looking to revamp sales in the Sates, launching the Compass EV may make sense.
Jeep is also planning to lunch an electric Gladiator truck, a rival to the Rivian’s R1T and Tesla Cybertruck. Also an electric Wrangler and Grand Cherokee models are also in the pipeline.
