Jeep Launches its first EV- the Avenger Electric SUV in Japan

There is a great news for the Jeep fans. Jeep has recently launched its first EV, the Avenger electric SUV in Japan. However the Japan is the dominated market of the Toyota but the brand moves is in the row to expand it’s reach to the other possible market.

Japan market is known for it’s high demand for compact, efficient vehicles to align with the demand of market, the lunch of the Avenger Electric SUV aligns perfectly. However the brand has to compete with the well established players such as Nissan and Mitsubhishi who leading a significent portion of market. According to the Automobile Inspection & Registration Information Associations, Toyota, Nissan, and Honda sold around 21,000 EVs in Japan, while imported EVs totaled 22,800.

Specs of the Jeep Avenger Electric SUV

The Avenger Electric SUV is a significant EVs of the Jeep power by a 54 kWh lithium-ion battery packs which unable to get a WLTP estimated range of over 300 miles that is 486 in km. It is a single motor EV producing approx 156 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. Thise capability makes it perfect for urban dwelling or light off-road trails. Battery of EV also get charged from 20% to 80% in just 24 minutes with a 100 kW fast charger. 

Also the to make more exclusive it will comes with six driving modes such as Eco, Sport, and Sand. There is also a option for “Selec-Terrain System” a advance off-road system. Other impressive features is Stop & Go capabilities with an adaptive cruise control and Lane Positioning Assist.

Interior of Avenger Electric SUV is boasts with a minimalist yet premium cabin features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainments system with supportive Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, advance driver-assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring. The pricing of the EV start at around $40,000 and it will also be eligible for $4,500 in government incentives. This makes it a great option in the range of budget-friendly EVs. With it’s affordable pricing, competitive range, advanced technology and eco-friendly design, the Avenger is poised to become a popular choice in the growing electric market.
