Here is great news from Genesis, the brand will built it’s Genesis GV90 prototype models in October as the luxury brand preps for mass production. The electric SUV GV90 is the brand’s new flagship model against the ultra-luxury automakers like Bentley and Rolls Royce.
Showing the larger Genesis electric SUV in early of the year along with the Neolun concept, Genesis said the full-size electric SUV is packed with “innovation that exceeds conventional standards.” Now the report suggest, Genesis may begin building the first GV90 models sooner than expected.
Genesis’s Creative Officer Luc Donckerwolke described that it’s the epitome of timeless design and sophisticated craftsmanship with other impressive features and tech.
The Genesis GV90 design is flawless from the body to the roof with coach doors and the B-piller removed. It also features a bold two-line headlamp in the shape of it;s signature crest grille.
There is also an advanced “sound architecture,” that sounds like you are in a live concert hall. Also a massive adjustable 24.6-inchs infotainment is places integrated into the dashboard. The electric SUV concept also has “Ondol,” a Korean inspired underfloor heating system. As Genesis said that it is it’s aims to help improve heating efficiency while providing a luxurious lounge-like experience.
Although test vehicles are out for testing, but report suggest Genesis will build the first GV90 prototypes in October and roll off for assembly in the same month. However the mass production is slated for 2026 at Hyundai’s new Ulsan EV plant.
Another exiting thing is the new Genesis GV90 will be the first model underpinned by Hyundai’s second-gen “eM” platform. It will be an evolution of the E-GMP, which powers Hyundai’s IONIQ 5 and 6 models, Kia’s EV series including EV6, EV9 and Genesis GV60 model.
Talking about the platform Hyundai said it is designed for a wide range of models, including small cars, pickups and flagship models like the Genesis GV90.
