The IONIQ 5 N has earned its title as the fastest Hyundai ever, outperforming both electric and gas-powered models. Its remarkable performance is turning heads across the industry, even catching the attention of top-tier brands. Recently, the EV sports car was spotted outside a Lamborghini test facility, sparking curiosity and excitement. Watch the video below to see it in action!

It is the automakers first EV to wear the “N” badge and with that Hyundia is aiming to set the bar even higher. And it certainly lives up to the hype. The IONIQ 5 N isn’t just Hyundai’s most powerful vehicle—it’s also packed with track-ready features that make it the most thrilling to drive.

Hyundai’s electric sports car is based on an advanced E-GMP platform and delivers up to 641 hp. That’s when using its N Grin boost feature, which gives you a 10-seconds power surge.

When the Sport EV is on the track, N Launch control enables you to adjust to different road conditions for the perfect takeoff. Other features, such as N e-Shift, replicate the experience of an 8-speed N Dual Clutch Transmission, giving you the sensation of being behind the wheel of a true race car.

Also its N Active Sound+ makes you not only feel the performance but you can also hear it. With all these sporty features Hyundai’s EV sports car is apparently good enough to attract Lamborghini’s attention. A Hyundai IONIQ 5 N model was recently spotted leaving Lamborghini’s test facility.

The video from YouTuber Varryx captures a Lamborghini test driver leaving the “Porta Sud,” hinting that the sports car manufacturer might be benchmarking Hyundai’s EV.

Lamborghini unveiled the Lanzador in 2023, marking its entry into the fully electric vehicle market. This concept introduces a high-ground-clearance GT with 2+2 seating, essentially a supercar built like an SUV, and is expected to launch in 2029. IONIQ 5 N has already outperformed a Lamborghini Urus Performance in a drag race (watch the video here), which likely prompted Lamborghini to take notes on the performance of Hyundai’s EV.
