Long awaited Hyundai Casper Electric is finally opens for pre-order. The news broke out by Hyundai as the brand opened pre-orders for its new Casper Electric in Korean market with the price tag of just $22,800.
Hyundai has teased with it’s EV several times but now it is ready to hit the market. Introduced as Inster EV in Europe last month, Hyundai Casper Electric is not coming to Korea.
On Tuesday, Hyundai opened the orders, of new Casper Electric in Korea. The coming EV comes with a price of $22,800, however Hyundai expected the base model -“Inspiration” to start at under $14,500 with government incentives and rebates.
According to a Hyundai official,” In order to truly popularize electric vehicles, we have prepared the Casper Electric with unrivaled product competitiveness and reasonable price.” It further added, “The Casper Electric will be a new standard and the most attractive choice for many customers considering purchasing an electric vehicle.”
Key Features of new Casper Electric
Hyundai introduced the new Casper Electric as “new standard for popularizing electric vehicles.” The EV is based on the gas-powered Casper that has been sold in Korea. Features the Hyundai signature DRL headlights and pixeled turn signals.
As we have seen, the new features that has been updated in 2024 Hyundai Kona Electric will also be there. It also goes up to 196 miles (315 km) driving range in Korea that goes up to 221 miles (255 km) in Europe according to ELTP range. For charging the Casper EV can charge from 10% to 800% in 30 minutes. It also offers vehicle-to-load (V2L) capabilities, which allow you to power electronics, tools or home appliances.
Inside, you will find a roomy and comfortable interior with more space in the second-row and truck than the gas-powered model which starts at nearly $15,000. Also a dual 10.25-inch infotainment and driving display is there for the assistance and entertainment. Other features include a steering wheel with interactive pixel lights, and ambient lighting.
