Boutique electric hypercar developer Hispano Suiza has announced its return to the Goodwood Festival of Speed this month, where it will showcase two of its latest vehicles. The brand unveiled its newest model Carmen Sagrera. It is a formidable electric car equipped with four motors delivering a combined 1,114 horsepower.
Hispano Suiza is a renowned historic Spanish automaker of luxury cars, aircraft engines, trucks, and weapons since 1904. The brand has over a century of experience and recently it has been revived with a focus on all-electric hypercars that promise unparalleled performance experience. Hispano Suiza’s foray into bespoke battery electric vehicles (BEVs) began in 2019 with the Carmen, a unique model of which only 24 units were produced, each one distinct.
Following Carmen, Hispano Suiza launched the even more exclusive Carmen Boulogne. Only five units were built and one of these was delivered to a customer in the US in 2023, making it one of the most expensive BEVs globally.
Earlier this year, Hispano Suiza teased its third hypercar, the Carmen Sagrera, as a tribute to its 120-year legacy in automotive design. Initially, we only got a glimpse of its massive spoiler, but the full vehicle was officially unveiled in Barcelona in June. Later this month Hispano Suiza is expected to debut Carmen Sagrera in the UK at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
At Goodwood, Hispano Suiza will not only display the Carmen Sagrera but also participate in the famous hill climb with another of its electric hypercars. The Carmen Sagrera will be presented to the media and authorities, including The Duke of Richmond, founder of the Goodwood event. Former Formula 1 driver Luis Pérez-Sala will pilot the new hypercar, which will be showcased at Hispano Suiza’s dedicated stand. Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase Hispano Suiza’s new Capsule Collection of branded merchandise.
While the Carmen Sagrera will only be on display, fans can look forward to seeing the Carmen Boulogne in action during the hill climb. This year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed is set to take place from July 11-14. If you’re attending, be sure to check out the new Carmen Sagrera and experience Hispano Suiza groundbreaking electric hypercars up close.
