Hyundai’s HDI (HD Hyundai Infracore) is set to introduce a new battery pack. It is a 35 kWh Lithium Phosphate battery pack to power the next generation of electrified commercial equipment.
At present the new Lithium Phosphate battery produced by HD Hyundai is not technically out in the market. However the officially bot at intermat 2024 at Paris-Nord Villepinte next month. As now it has been in development since back when infracore was still a Doosan brand.
The first prototypes of batteries presented by the company were configured with a bespoke battery management system (BMS) and thermal protection system from 2021. It also has a flexible design architecture that allows the manufacturer to produce batteries with different voltages and capacities by using different numbers of standardized cylindrical nickel cobalt manganese (NCM) battery cells.
A recent announcement by the HDI confirmed that it will supply battery packs for Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle’s medium-duty electric trucks. Company also announced that the two companies will work together to expand Korea’s electric commercial offering in the near future.

It is also said that the new battery packs are intended to ,” offer a value-oriented and robust solution for companies operating in the construction, industrial and marine sectors.” according to Power Progress.
Also a research conducted by the HDI release cites data from the market research platform. That reveals that the global electric commercial vehicle market will grow from 529,400 units sold in 2023 to more than 2.1 million units by 2030.
