Genesis Introducing it’s First Full-Size Luxury Model Next Year

After revealing it’s “Neolun Concept” early in the year Genesis is now introducing its new Genesis electric SUV that is set for production late next year. It is said that the SUV will rival the Cadillac Escalade and Range Rover. With this Genesis also expects its first full-size electric SUV to have a big impact on the brand.

Genesis says its new “Neolun” concept represents the future of the brand. For something that must revive tomorrow’s auto market, then. It’s no surprise that the Neolun is big, opulent and electric. Genesis also previews the larger electric SUV at the event. According to Genesis, the full-size electric SUV features “innovation that exceeds conventional standards.”

Come as the Genesis GV90, the most popular segment in the US – Genesis expects the GV90 to make a big impact on the brand. Genesis SUV Ride on Hyundai’s cutting-edge “eM” platform, which promises groundbreaking advancements in EV technology.

According to Hyundai’s believes its new platform can result in 20% savings for next-gen EVs compared to current models like the IONIQ 5. It will also be available with different battery options like NCM and LEP for various uses.

Featuring a ”reductive design,” the concept’s design is simple but pure. There are no unnecessary lines or added details. Also there are added coach doors and no B-pillars, that give design seamlessly flown from the vehicle’s body to the roof. It’s the epitome of timeless design and sophisticated craftsmanship,” Genesis Creative Officer Luc Donckerwolke explained.

According to The Korean Car Blog, the production version of the Genesis SUV may be expected soon. The report notes Genesis (Hyundai Motor Group) will begin building the full-size electric SUV in December 2025. According to the report, Hyundai sent a request for quotation to its major partners detailing its plans. 

With ambitious goals to become a top-three EV maker by 2030, Hyundai Motor Group, including Kia and Genesis, is gearing up to roll out 13 new EV models on this innovative platform. The company also aims to sell 2 million EVs globally by the end of the decade.
