Ford Explorer EV (Expected: 2023)
The Ford Explorer is one of the most popular SUVs to hit the U.S. road till now, to make it more competitive the company is ready to transition it into an all electric vehicle. Ford announced in Mar 2021, that its three-row SUV would be joining the growing electric lineup alongside the Mustang Mach-E and the E-Transit electric van. While the current Explorer already features a 318-hp hybrid V-6 powertrain, we have got a hunch that is similar to the Mach-E and E-150 Lightning. The company plans for rear and all-wheel-drive Explorer EV models.

2024 Ford F-150 Lightning is a powerful pickup offered by Ford, the new Platinum Black special editions. which drapes the Lightning in a matte-black wrap, with dark 22-inch wheels, a dark grille, and dark badging in an effort to go full Batman. The standard model comes with two electric motors and all-wheel drive, with the Standard-Range battery, the motors produce 452-hp combined. That rises to 580-hp with the Extended-Range battery. Peak torque is an impressive 775 pound-feet with either model. The F-150 Lighting accelerates to 0-60 mph in just 4.0 seconds. Talking about towing capacity, F-150 Lightning is capable of 10,000 pounds with optional Extended-Range battery only that drops to 7700-pound with Standard-Range model. The payload capacity is 1800 pounds and 2000 pounds respectively.
Further the Ford F-150 Lightning offers two battery options: a 98.0-kWh battery with a 230-mile range and a 131.0-kWh battery providing up to 320 miles. For charging it includes option for both home 110-and 220-volt outlets charging and public DC fast-charging stations. It can charge 15 to 80 % in just 44 minutes, which is quite impressive. The F-150 Lightning interior resembles that of the gasoline-powered F-150. But Inside there is a 12.0-inch large standard touchscreen infotainment system with Ford’s Sync 4 software that gets a bit larger 15.5-inch in Lariat and Platinum models. Other standard features are Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, in-dash navigation, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The price of the 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning starts at $57,090 that increases with depending trim and option up to $95,090. When came it joins the Rivian R1T, GMC Hummer EV SUT and the Chevy Silverado EV.
