Porsche has finally announced it’s an all new Electric SUV that will be ready to hit the market as soon as possible. The all-electric Macan will come to show its face early in this month for the first time.
The new segments of the all -electric lineup follow the brand’s first ever EV, the Porche Taycan’s great sales in the last month of 2023. This concludes the brand’s overall sales of 2023, 40,600 EVs last year. The report says that the leading model of Porsche was Macan last year until the Q4 was topped by Cayenne.
Mecan All-Electric Sportiest SUV Will Come This Month
As Porsche has revealed much of the details about its electric SUV previously. But this time a firm date has been given by the brand to confirm the eager buyer. Porsche promises that the Macan EV will be the sportiest in its segment. It will come with over 600 hp, track skills and unparalleled off-road capabilities that makes Macan EV a tough competitor. As the teasing prototype shows that the EV model is ripping through snow, mud, ice and test tracks.
The Mecan SUV is fitted with a 100 kWh lithium-ion battery that provides a over 31 miles (500 km) WLTP range across all the trims of electric SUV. With this new Macan EV Porsche also aims to find the perfect balance between the driving dynamics and efficiency in the electric mobility segments. One of the effective improvements that makes the Macan better over the gas-powered version is the aerodynamic design. with a drag coefficient of just 0.25 impressive letter one’s 0.35.
It is built on Porsche’s new 800v PPE platform that enables a quick charging of up to 270 kW that makes it get charged fast. Porsche uses a high-voltage switch to split the battery into two, each with 400V. Further to make it perfect for all terrain, Porsche includes an Active Suspension Management system with two-valve damper tech, air suspension and rear-axle transverse lock. It is the first time, when the company includes rear-axle steering with a steering angle of up to five degrees.
The Macan EV uses the company’s latest PSM motors on the front and rear axles to provide great power to its electric SUV. combined they provide more than 600 horsepower (450 kW) power. A Porsche traction management control over 738-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque is also provided for safety and good control.
Porsche also gives a great attention to the electric SUV interior that include ample physical buttons, three screens and an AR head-up display. Finally, the long waiting period of Porsche’s Macan EV will end soon. As the company unveiled it next week, orders are also expected to begin soon.
