Ferrari’s first all-electric vehicle is set to make its official debut later this year. Ahead of the highly anticipated launch, the EV has been spotted testing, showcasing an updated design. Check out the first glimpse below!

It is expected that the brand will debut its EV later this year. and has largely remained silent about the details of its first electric car.

Benedetto Vigna the CEO promises it will be “a lot of fun” to drive, as expected from a brand.” Vigna explained, ”People buy a Ferrari because, they have a lot of fun.” The first fully electric model will be no different.

Although brand’s journey into electrification has taken longer than some anticipated, the company’s CEO assures that their first EV will be crafted “the right way.” It will retain the iconic Ferrari sound and signature design elements, reimagined in an all-electric form.

Last year already we caught a glimpse of the upcoming EV a few times when it hit the road for testing drives. However the most recent sighting from the Varryx post gives us an even closer look. The new video reveals an updated prototype and new design features you can expect to see.

The images you see is camouflage but despite that we can see the prototype is wearing new headlights and body panels. It also has several wires and brackets exposed up front.

Similar to earlier sightings, Ferrari’s first EV prototype still features fake tailpipes. As the car drives by, it produces an exhaust-like sound, suggesting that Ferrari might be working on a synthetic sound system, akin to Dodge’s electric Charger.

Ferrari opened its new e-building last summer, where the brand’s first electric car will be built. The facility will also build-up e-motors, batteries, and inverters. As you can see, the first electric Ferrari will be a crossover SUV similar to the Purosangue.

The electric crossover SUV is anticipated to debut officially later this year as a 2026 model. By then, Ferrari targets EVs and plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) to make up 60% of its sales.

What are your thoughts on Ferrari’s electric crossover? Share your views in the comments, and stay tuned for updates as we approach its launch.
