China’s Gotion High-Tech Rolls First Battery Pack Off Its New US assembly Line

Gotion High-Tech china’s battery developer expands itself in the US and rolled out its first battery pack from production line bear Silicon Valley. Expertise in battery R&D and energy solutions, founding in China and now continues in other territories worldwide. They joined VinES venture and expanded in Vietnam also.

The brand has achieved the milestone of 13 GWh installed globally between the period of January-October, ranking 8th with a 2.4 percent share, as per SNE Research of South Korean market.

Gotion-battery-for US Assembly

Not in the US, Gotion stands their legs in Europe and Southeast Asia. Although this company is the first Chinese company which funded the European Chinese battery startup Solvak EV battery InoBat – this year. Aside from this, Gotion will establish an assembly facility in Fremont, California, and plans for a $2 billion EV battery plant in Illinois, announced this past September.

In California, by Gotion brand GenDome they hit the milestone while establishing the manufacturing portable power packs plant. Gotion is also following the strategy guideline of “ In local, for local”, the brand has established its Fremont factory.

Gotion Begins US Battery ESS Production

Completed its first portable battery pack product in Fremont on December 21 as part of its “Made in USA”. As talked about by Gotion brand GenDome previously it’s the energy system which is preferably made for the US market.

The Gotion Fremont plant is focused on the Americas energy storage systems market. It also targets the portable energy storage products and home energy storage products of 3 kWh to 30 kW capacity range according to the company statement.

Looking ahead, Gotion’s Fremont location will continue to serve as its innovation hub to support its other incoming facilities in Michigan and Illinois.

“For the past decade, we have consistently adhered to a three-in-one strategy featuring localized research & development, localized manufacturing, and localized marketing. From the initial development of battery management systems to the present battery factory, we have encountered numerous challenges and tests. Today, we have made a name for ourselves in the Americas market, and with the help of the Illinois battery factory and Michigan material factory, Gotion will work together with customers to build a localized and diversified supply chain system characterized by a full value chain.”

The Gotion plant is located in the Silicon Valley area. And further it is the Gotion’s first battery pack production line in the U.S. It is also expected that the plant reaches a production capacity of 1 GWh and 85 percent line automation.
