Here in the center visitors can “view, select, use, and learn” about EVs powered by CATL’s advanced batteries, including Tesla, Volkswagen, and NIO models. CATL calling is as a “NING Space”,
CATL said the new NING Space is designed as an all-encompassing EV experience for buyers to “view, select, use, learn” about electric vehicles. It is located in Chengdu city and developed with the help of local government and several auto manufacturers.

CATL’s vice chairman, Li Ping describe that the auto industry and consumer mindsets are “undergoing a significant restructuring.” With this innovative approach CATL has established a new “bridge between automakers and consumers” for innovation and mutual success.
It is a 140,000 sq ft showroom that will help “accelerate the global transition to e-mobility”. Featuring approx 100 models from 50 different brands including Tesla’s Model Y and 3, NIO’s ET 5 and ET5 Touring, and Volkswagen’s ID.4 and ID.6 on it’s display.

The aim to develop such showroom is to promote the EVs. And this site is also promotive CATL:s latest battery tech while teaching the history and progress. Here visitors will also enjoy the regularly help science workshops to help users of all ages to explore and learn more about green tech and EVs.
A report by SNE Research disclose CATL holds a wide lead in the global EV battery market , with 37.8% share through the first half of 2024. The number two battery maker in the row is BYD while hold a 15.8% share.
A local report said CATL may use a strategy similar to “intel Inside,” where EVs using its batteries would be branded. However,, CATL’s CMO, Luo Jian, shot down the idea, calling it speculation.
