On Thursday at the Chengdu Auto Show, BYD has unveiled it’s sporty look Seal 06GT electric hot hatch. The brand has introduced the electric hot hatch first time at Beijing Auto Show in April, as the Ocean-M concept, based on its new e-Platform 3.0 Evo and features impressive advanced tech.
To make Electric Hot Hatch look sporty it features with a simple design lines and a low-sitting silhouette. The new EV is based on 3.0 Evo platform, for that company claimed the platform features the “world’s first full scenario intelligent pulse self-heating technology,’ which cuts charger time by 10% even in the frigid cold.
BYD Seal 06GT Features and Specs
The new BYD Seal 06GT will available in both single and dual-motor powertrains. The single-motor 06GT model is capable of 215 hp (160kW) or 221 hp (165 kW). On the other hand the dual-motor version provides the combined 415 hp (310 kW) and can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 km/h) in 4.9 seconds.
For battery the 06GT features 72.96 kWh or 59.52 kWh battery options which make BYD electric hot hatch to go up to 375 miles (605 km) as per CLTC range estimate. Talking about interior the BYD provides its latest smart tech and software.
Interior of the BYD electric hot notch features a 15.6-inches floating center infotainments, 10.25-inches driver display and 12-inches head up display. And the other impressive options for buyers is the colors choice from shell white or twilight blue.
BYD is planning to launch new BYD Seal 06GT in Europe to challenge rivels like Volkswagen. At 4,630 mm long, 1,880 mm wide and 1,490 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,820. The new BYD Seal will compete with Volkswagen’s new ID.3 GTX Performance.
