Kia is ready to get attention again. This time a new impressive electric SUV with high-performance upgrades – Kia EV9 GT is coming to the market with enormous power capacity. As the brand has not officially launched the EV but here is some glimpse of the Kia EV9 GT before launch.
Kia launched its EV9 lineup in Korea last June with the aim of future expansion. In this row the EV hit the US market in December 2023, with the starting price around $55,000. As per data Kia has sold nearly 9,671 models of its EV9 in the U.S. all alone.
As the production of EVS surges to go with momentum. Kia also confirmed that the brand is planning a new trim that will join the lineup in January 2025. According to Kia it will have “enormous power” with a 0 to 62 (0 to 100 km/hr) time within just 4 seconds.
Packed with dual-motor AWD powertrain for faster acceleration with reinforced suspension and electronic braking for maintaining stability at high speeds the EV9 GT got spotted while testing.

Following its predecessor Kia6 GT for its power and performance, the Kia EV9 GT has some unique features. The video gives hints that the EV9 GT will be unique in its segments as it features a modified front bumper to look more aggressive. Also the acceleration of the coming EV will be more than the Kia EV6 GT’s 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds with 576-hp.
With its electric sporty GT series Kia is aiming to compete against a Ferrari Roma and Lamborghini Huracan EVO to prove its power. Also in May a new upgraded EV6 was also spotted testing, which can be more powerful than its current model.
As Kia has not revealed too much about its power and performance but the 2024 Kia EV6 GT electric lineup starts at $73,900 that also includes destination fee. The price might get more with the more powerful trim and options.
