Tesla’s Cyberturck is one of the leading electric pickup trucks that has been gaining great space in the market. In this row to make it more performance oriented Tesla is set to upgrade the Cybertruck’s electric motors with the aim to enhance efficiency and reliability. The upgraded electric motor is a more “efficient and reliable” motor.
The news gets limelight as the automaker has started to contact its early Cybertruck owners to inform them that they will change their electric drivetrain. The automaker says that this move is part of a study conducting a study of early models of Cyberturcks.
At the next service visit for these select owners, Tesla will replace one of their drive units at no cost. The automaker has indicated that the new drive unit boasts improved efficiency and reliability, though it has not specified whether it is the front or rear motor that will be replaced. Notably, all Cybertruks currency feature at least two motors.
Tesla has reassured it’s Cybertruck owner’s that the existing drive unit is safe to use, implying that the new version is simply a refined iteration of the electric motor. This upgrade comes as part of Tesla’s approach to implementing changes as soon as they are ready for production, rather than waiting for a new model year.
Tesla began delivery of its Cyebrtruck late last year, and this proactive upgrade is in line with Tesla’s commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. Also the early adopters of the Cybertruck can look forward to an enhanced driving experience with this new motor upgrade.
